Chapter Three

A standoff had occurred in the middle of a park. On one side stood a man who was roughly 7 feet tall and about 450 pounds. He was wearing pieces of a Locomotive that wrapped around his body. Next to him was a man that stood about 2 feet shorter then the first man. He wore a straightjacket and his head had about 3 hairs all of which were standing on end and singed. Across form them was a man with all of his straight hair going straight into the air. He was hopping from foot to foot and had his hands in up ready to pounce. Next to him was a woman wearing a dress, which had a lot of very small holes in it. She also had her hands up and was looking at the man in the straightjacket. Though this was taking place in a park it was scarcely populated, there were a few scatter people here and there but most of them were just ignoring the face off and going about their business.
The lone woman leaned in to talk to the man who couldn’t keep still, “So what do you think Harold, you want me to take Psycho,” she pointed at the man in the straight jacket, “And you can take Railroad?”
“Sounds like a good plan Sarah, but be careful about Psycho, if he starts to shake more then me get out of their as fast as you can, you won’t be able to handle the shockwaves, just run and cover, it’s the best option, I’ll meanwhile try and figure out how I can get through that armored freak there, maybe if I just run around eventually he’ll lose energy before I do, after all it worked with Bullwhip didn’t it?” As he spoke he kept bouncing from foot to foot and his speech was barely legible with how fast he spoke.
“Alright then,” said Sarah. She turned towards Psycho and yelled at him, “You and I are going to go at it now.” She ran at him but Railroad went to block the path.
“NO!” He yelled, “Me First!”
“No Railroad,” yelled Harold, “You’re mine.” He then took off, his steps were fast and he easily overtook Sarah on his way to Railroad he suddenly leapt into the air and jumped on top of Railroads armor.
Railroad wasn’t pleased with this, and he tried to grab Harold but his body wiggled like a worm and he couldn’t get a grip on him. Harold moved more and more, running around him, trying to push him down in any manner. Railroad swung his arms but every time he did Harold got behind him and tried to push him over.
Meanwhile Sarah ran up to Psycho who was quite calm. Sarah's hands produced spines, and she aimed for Psycho's head expecting him to dodge, she was ready to strike a different blow with her left hand. However to her dismay Psycho did not dodge the first hit, her hand full of spines dug into the side of Psycho's head. Psycho looked unphased by the pain and simply looked at her and smiled. His left eye started to twitch as Sarah retracted her spines and blood fell from the holes in Psycho's head. She backed away very slowly and was very distraught by Psycho's actions. Psycho's twitch spread to most of his face and as he started to squeak Sarah yelled to Harold, "He's Twitching!"
"Run!" yelled Harold back to her. Harold's legs were wrapped around Railroad's left arm, and his arms were wrapped around Railroad's right leg. He was sprawled across Railroad's back as Railroad continually tried to swat at him. Harold let go when he saw that Sarah was not in fact running but was more so standing in place due to shock. Harold ran at her as fast as he could, by this point Psycho had started to go into convulsions. Harold reached Sarah, and launched her over his shoulder as he ran as fast he could away from Psycho. Psycho's convulsions suddenly stopped, and Railroad braced himself for impact. A large burst of light followed by an explosion flung in all directions. Harold jumped behind a nearby building and covered Sarah's body with his own. The explosion covered most of the park as well as part of a city block; cars were flung through the streets. When the smoke cleared where the park was there was now a giant crater. Railroad who had taken the entire blast head on and had easily survived went to the center of the crater, where Psycho's body lay prone and singed on the ground. Railroad picked his friend up and fled from the scene.
Harold let go of Sarah who seemed to be all right, he came out from behind the building to survey the damage. He saw a group of people huddled underneath a kinetic shield, which was being made by someone inside the shell, all of the people looked like they didn't care. Another man came out from behind a different building and walked towards the crater, he had a park services uniform on. With a very nonchalant look on his face he held his hand over the crater and a green light began to glow from his hand. As instantly as the crater had appeared the growth of the plants spread quite fast and within a minute the park was back to where it had once been. A couple of men walked up to the cars, which were flung about, picked them up and placed them back to where they were. Harold shrugged and picked Sarah up and walked away from the scene. It was as if there hadn't been a fight there just a moment ago.
